Penance in Ujué: The pilgrimages (romerias) to Ujué (or Uxué, Basque country, Spain) originated in 1043 to thank the Virgin for a victory in the battle against the king of Aragon. On every Sunday after the April 25th, people leave Tafalla (about 19km) at night to get by foot to the church of Santa Maria in Ujué in the morning.
